How Schools Have Changed Over The Past 100 Years

Schools have changed a lot over the past 100 years and there are plenty of reasons why.  One of those reasons are that the technology that students, teachers, the principal, etc. have used, have really advanced.  Way back then kids even used only chalk boards and chalk to write their information on.  Later on schools started to use computers yet they weren’t as good as the ones that we have now.  The older computers just didn’t function as good as our’s now.  Another thing that changed was the fact that teachers were allowed to do things to students who didn’t do something the way they were supposed to by (most of the time) smacking them with something like a ruler or making you sit in the corner with a hat that would make you very humiliated.  But now, if students didn’t do something they were supposed to they would get detention, expelled, suspension, or just simple warnings.  Something else that has greatly changed are the rules.  Some rules back then were far more harsh than the ones today.

Schools have also changed in the past 100 years by a bunch of kids wished that they could go to school (unlike most kids today who don’t want to go to school).  This is because they either had to do work (such as work in factories for example), or they could head to school.  But now, a lot of kids can go to school now instead of work.  But the average age for the people who did go to school and were about to leave would be 12-14.  After that, they would go to work.  These were all of the reasons of how school has changed over the past 100 years.  I hope you enjoyed reading and you learned something from this post!  Thanks for reading!
