It was just another regular day for everyone on the planet. Everybody was doing their everyday activities and jobs. The skies were bright blue and the the sun was shining brightly while the other half is covered in darkness with the moon and the stars lighting up the skies. Nothing could possibly go wrong. But while astronomers were observing space with their very powerful telescopes, they noticed a bright light in the distance that was hurtling towards them in their direction. The astronomers debated whether it was just a human spacecraft, alien spacecraft, a star, or a meteor that was headed their direction. After talking for a little bit they came to a conclusion, it was a meteor. They were incredulous that it was aiming towards Earth. There wasn’t supposed to be a meteor coming towards Earth now. The next one was supposed to come in 3245 years from now.
While the astronomers were running around in circles they had to warn everyone about this. One of them looked back through the telescope and saw it was approaching at a very fast pace. After some time the astronomers reported to NASA and NASA reported to the president of the United States of America. News reporters caught onto the story very quickly and warning everyone watching TV at home. NASA managed to figure out that the meteor will make contact with Earth in approximately three hours. The only option that the president had was to fire a missile at it and throw it off course and it will be planned to fly all to way back out into space. A few fragments of the meteor might land on Jupiter and Saturn, but they’ll be fine. Two and a half hours have passed. The meteor was very close to Earth’s atmosphere but far enough to where the president of U.S.A. could fire the missile. But there was a delay and they now have seven minutes left. Time passes and there were only 2 minutes. The president has fired the missile and it is out of the atmosphere about to land on the meteor. But part of the missile broke off and it changed direction away from the meteor. Now Earth has a meteor coming towards Earth. Humanity has one last shot and it was no longer a regular day for everyone…
